Fix Radio amassed over 50,000 podcast downloads in the second quarter. Downloads of Fix Radio podcasts have grown rapidly in the last 12 months – year-on-year growth for the first half sits at 125%. Fix Radio generated over 97,000 downloads in the first six months of 2022, and has now crossed the 200,000 downloads in just 18 months. “Our podcasts are proving really popular with our tradesperson audience,” said Greg Wilson, head of content, Fix Radio. “Our show hosts are people working in the trade, and the content they generate clearly resonates with the audience. The podcast format allows us to deep dive into subjects that we perhaps can’t on the radio station,” he added. The Builders Radio Station only started making its show content available as podcasts towards the end of 2020. Currently, Fix Radio publishes five specialist podcasts per week covering carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing and heating, electrical contracting and plastering. The podcasts are available throughout the week. It also offers two ‘best of podcasts’ – one for the Bald Builders Breakfast and another for The Clive Holland Show, both available on Friday.
