There’s a lot of issues in the trade – and wider world – at the moment relating to COVID and different variants are causing many issues. Many retail stores closing as well as sites and tradesman having to isolate means we risk the worst – not being able to get materials. John Newcomb from the Builders Merchant Federation joined Clive Holland on the Clive Holland Show this week to discuss through how COVID has and can affect builders merchants – and revealed if too many staff do get COVID, stores will have to close! It was revealed by John, though, that while there are a lot of staff having to isolate and we’re not necessarily heading in the right direction – they don’t remain in too much danger of closing. He did however go on to chat with Clive about the future of merchants and those who are most likely to be affected by COVID – and you can catch the full interview below!
