A custom order from Nando’s is doing the rounds on the internet after an employee shared the receipt of a £30 order after a customer wanted 50 extra slices of cheddar cheese on a grilled chicken burger. I mean, this is what custom ordering is all about right? Giving the power back to the customer! As is the case with most fast-food restaurants, the Nando’s app allows users to customise just about anything on the menu and apparently there is no limit to that customisation. The image of the burger and receipt was shared on reddit and has resulted in hundreds of people commenting with opinion very much divided on whether this was a genuine order, an accidental mistake or perhaps done intentionally to get 5 seconds of fame and get stupid people like myself writing about it. The photo of the burger was also posted, which shows the chicken, lettuce and tomato being separated by roughly 17 slices of cheese between them in the monster burger. The legen-dairy burger in question. Before we get into the comments from people can I just ask one question…how did they bag this up and what was it delivered in? Poor Deliveroo driver. As expected, many people on reddit couldn’t resist the urge to add their thoughts with diary-related puns such as one user who remarked "Cheesus christ that’s a hefty amount of cheddar.” The receipt and proof of purchase. Image Credit: Reddit Someone tried to give a logical explanation - if it exists - into someone might have accidentally ordered this, saying “Maybe it didn’t confirm the change or something so they just kept doing it – I’d like to have seen their reaction when that turned up.” While others weren’t having a bar of it, “They'd had to have clicked an already checked checkbox nearly 50 times for that to be true and not noticed the burger cost £30 throughout the checkout process where it is very clearly shown so I'm guessing it's more likely someone who's done it to take photos of for their Instagram." Either way, does it make you keen for a cheeky Nando’s tonight? (H/T Daily Star)
