For the last Carpentry Show of 2023, Robin Clevett is joined by builder Jack Auletta to take a deep dive into the year. Together, the pair look at how the construction industry has progressed and what's in store for 2024. "2023 has been a good year for us. We've completed some massive projects, invested a lot into the business and started a new division - roofing," said Jack. "The building regs that have changed is something we're still wrapping our head around. It would've been nice if we were given a heads-up. I'm still trying to find my way through it. This is my major concern going into 2024," he added. His advice for builders entering next year is: "Keep communication lines open with clients, continue marketing yourself, don't spread yourself too thin, concentrate on your local business, jump out of your comfort zone and be visible." Robin also hears from carpenters Liam McGinley and Shaun Matthews to discuss how business has been in 2023. Listen to the full podcast here.
