Joel Bardall and Todd Von Joel catch up with young decorators Alex Woodward and James Housman to hear how their careers are progressing. Alex is the drummer for British indie rock band Black Honey, and when not touring or in the studio works as a painter and decorator. He was on Fix Radio in September 2023, and since then he has further developed as a decorator. "I mainly take on domestic jobs, going from one to another. I'm now booking three to four jobs in advance compared to last year when I was taking one job at a time," explained Alex. Decorator James suffered from an injury while working on his knees decorating. "I didn't have my knee pads on. A few days later my knees swelled up and it turned into septic arthritis. I ended up having to undergo a keyhole surgery." In the past year, he was hospitalised for various reasons, now he's slowly getting back to work. Listen to the podcast here.
