Chance Lichfield in for Clive Holland, host of The Clive Holland Show this week, turned attention to a recent story in the papers that was all about a woman who refused to let tradespeople working on her house use her toilet – making them wee in the bushes outside! So, Chance wanted to know – what is the weirdest or strangest request you’ve ever had from a client?! He was joined by great friend of the show Nick Bundy – as well as social media superstar Tom Skinner for their thoughts! Bundy said: “I once was fitting a £15,000 for a lady who kept on changing where she wanted to have the sockets fitted. She didn’t have any clue and her requests to have spotlights in the ceiling and she put masking tape and went like I will be standing here to do the dishes, sitting here to eat and the tape in the ceiling looked like someone had thrown marbles in the ceiling and there was no pattern and no lights.” A caller Sam said: “Customer having a new bathroom said they'd lock themselves in the lounge throughout. We were told to leave the house everyday at 1pm so that they could get themselves lunch. True to their word they locked themselves away in the lounge. Funny smell coming out all day too.” Another Matt the Builder added: A Scotts lady once said to me, do you mind helping me wash my puppies? I really thought it was a euphemism but it wasn't! The two young pups she had were hard to control in the shower. I declined politely.” And another Forky Ash opined: “Not so much a customer but site boss told me chuck a ground works car in the recycling skip cause he kept parking in the way was an old Ford fiesta rust bucket he came in a brand new BMW next day never parked that in anyone's way.” And Paul and Lewis pointed out that: “Our biggest mistake has to be cutting a near £250 door an inch short safe to say the customer wasn’t too happy.” For the full show, listen here
