Dan Tempest wins Plumber & Heating Engineer of the Year gong

Dan Tempest charged to victory in the highly competitive Plumber & Heating Engineer category at this year’s Tradesperson of the Year Awards.

The plumbing category, which was sponsored by Wolseley Plumb & Parts, had a particularly high standard of nominations, covering everything from conventional boiler installs, HVO-boiler conversations and inventions for optimising heating systems.

Dan Tempest edged the competition with his nomination that showcased his quality customer service and the design and development of products to improve the efficiency of gas boilers.

Highly commended in this category went to Andrew Christopher of Waterloo Services.

The Fix Radio Tradesperson of the Year Awards, which was held on day two of UK Construction Week in London, brought together shortlisted nominees from this year’s award at a brief ceremony.

In total Fix Radio gave away ten awards covering the key building trades.

“This year’s shortlisted nominees showcased the best of the UK’s trades – the winners have displayed an excellent portfolio of work that proves that UK tradespeople are the best in the world,” said Greg Wilson, head of content for Fix Radio.

“Well done Dan – you’re an absolute credit to your industry,” he added.
