On this week's Plastering Show, Chris Frediani and Bradleigh (Bradders) Hancock are joined by Daahir Mohamed and Ruth Waters to hear how they are upgrading their skills and building their careers. Daahir was on the show two years ago and talked about the work he was about to embark on with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. Today, he talks about the heritage jobs taken on. "My training has gone well. I've learned so much ever since I've been able to take on far more interesting projects. The workflow and quality of work are on a different level. It's been a fantastic experience." Daahir reveals that he's been working on listed buildings some of which date back to the 1500s. Currently, he's working on restoring a 16th-century pub in Bristol. He also talks about his work with under-represented groups and how teaches them the trade. Ruth last chatted with Chris four years back as a newcomer to the industry. Now, she has picked up a new career - asbestos surveyor. "I still do plaster work in my free time but for the last ten months I've been in asbestos control and management."
