A Borders College student who studies plumbing was named one of the 2024 winners of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers (WCoP) for 2024, Border Telegraph reported. Teresa Collins, a first-year apprentice working for Border Eco Systems, submitted her application last year. She was delighted to discover WCoP judges had chosen her as a winner to receive a selection of Monument tools worth £1,000. Teresa said, "I am delighted to have been announced as one of the WCoP winners. I want to thank everyone at Monument Tools for this generous award, which has already been so helpful to me in my job. "I was extremely overwhelmed at the quantity when they arrived at the college, and I am so grateful to have been chosen.” Teresa is one of six winners and has now been invited to receive her certificate at the annual WCoP lecture at The Royal College of Physicians in London later this month. Teresa has also been invited to The Installer Show in June at the NEC in Birmingham to join a presentation and photo opportunity.
