AUDIO NEWS: Tradespeople can charge EVs during breakfast break and plumbers find a hidden safe

Tradespeople using electric vans should be able to get enough mileage for the week if they charge their vehicles during their morning breakfast breaks, claims research from Vauxhall. The poll of a 1,000 van drivers found that 60% typically stop for between 15-to-45 minutes for breakfast before starting work. In the survey, which aims to allay fears that charging electric vans takes too long, 70% of drivers said they thought it likely that customers would let them charge their EV at their address while working. Three quarters of tradespeople said they would offer a client a discount for permission to charge their van while at work. --- Contractors in China have installed the world’s largest inflatable dome around an inner-city building site to reduce noise and dust pollution. The 50-meter-high dome covers almost 20,000 square meters and uses sophisticated air-filtration systems to keep the air breathable for workers, while also preventing dust and noise pollution from escaping outside. --- Plumbers pulling up floorboards on a house renovation project have found a hidden safe. Josh Brooks, the homeowner, posted a series of TikTok videos showing the discovery of the World War II-era safe embedded in the floor.
