A group of tradespeople have banded together in an ambitious bid to top the charts at Christmas. Trade Aid, the brainchild of Tom Windle and Max Wills, is raising funds for Band of Builders. Tom and Max roped in various industry social media influencers to help record and promote the single. Appearing on the Clive Holland Show, Tom said: “Band of Builders are… absolute saints and anything we can do to help that cause… is fantastic.” To download the record head to iTunes. --- Plumber and darts professional, Cameron Menzies had to go work before his match at the World Darts Championship last week. Menzies posted a photo of him working in a customer’s bathroom just hours before taking to the stage for his first-round match against Rusty-Jake Rodriguez at the Ally Pally. When asked why he hadn’t taken the day off to prepare for the big match, Menzies said that he had tried to, but “he had got a half shift” instead. --- A builder who won millions with a lottery jackpot told customers he was working for that they can use the money on Christmas shopping instead. Steve Thomson won £105 million, finished his neighbour’s conservatory and refused payment for his work. The neighbour from Selsey, who didn’t want to be named told The Mirror, “he didn’t charge.
