Posted: Wednesday, February 26th, 2025

The latest edition of the European Commission’s English style guide also suggested dropping phases like man-made, man on the street, man hours and even mankind.

Lord Young, founder of Free Speech Union, told The Telegraph: “This sort of woke nonsense now feels completely outdated. The European Commission clearly hasn’t got the memo.”
