Sure he might have almost 50 million followers on Instagram, be one of Hollywood’s hottest stars and have his blockbuster new feature film Spider-Man No Way Home about to hit worldwide cinemas, but the lure of returning to carpentry might be too good to turn down for British actor Tom Holland. It seems far-fetched, but recent comments made to Total Film Magazine suggest the actor is seriously considering taking a break from the film industry for a little while to get back on the tools and continue his carpentry work he was enjoying before, you know, becoming a global superstar. Speaking to Total Film, the 25-year-old actor said “ “I think there are endless opportunities for me to do what I want, and doing what I want may not be in the film industry. It might be completely separate. I might go and be a carpenter for two years, and take a big break and come back.” “I might not come back. I might go away and get married and have kids and just disappear for the rest of my life.” Wouldn’t it be nice to have no worries and choices like this at the tender age of 25? After becoming a qualified carpenter following training at Cardiff Carpentry School, Holland has played the superhero in films including Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019.
