An electrician and his wife have put in their application for the ‘Parents Of The Year’ award, after they purchased a second-hand McDonald’s playground set off eBay for AU$5000 (£2,600) to create the ultimate backyard for their children. Kieran Brennan and his wife Maggie didn’t think twice after seeing the listing online at the bargain price, with the aim of having something unique and special for their kids at their home in Darley, Australia - 36 miles west of Melbourne. Sparky Kieran purchased the set back in 2019 and has been slowly chipping away at it, restoring it to its former glory and making it safe for his youngsters to play on.
