Sparky Buys McDonald’s Playground For His Kids Off eBay For £2.6K

An electrician and his wife have put in their application for the ‘Parents Of The Year’ award, after they purchased a second-hand McDonald’s playground set off eBay for AU$5000 (£2,600) to create the ultimate backyard for their children. Kieran Brennan and his wife Maggie didn’t think twice after seeing the listing online at the bargain price, with the aim of having something unique and special for their kids at their home in Darley, Australia - 36 miles west of Melbourne. Sparky Kieran purchased the set back in 2019 and has been slowly chipping away at it, restoring it to its former glory and making it safe for his youngsters to play on. Speaking to news.com.au, Maggie said “They usually go for about 40 (thousand) brand new,” the tattoo shop owner said. “Everyone’s like, that’s so expensive and it’s like well, not really when you think about it." “People spend more on cars and stuff like that, so we just sacrificed that and preferred to get the kids a playground instead.” backyard bliss #kidsoftiktok #mcdonalds #foryourpage The Australian couple have also shared their new project plans to build a skate park in their backyard as well - as they continue to put all other parents to shame. “We’re just about to get a skate park put in because we’re on an acre and half,” Ms Brennan said.
