Most tradespeople have at least one crazy customer story. But most tradesmen never had to put up with a customer stripping naked. Unfortunately, Jennifer Gardner, better known as Jen the Decorator was confronted by just that when she visited a potential client. Speaking on The Painting & Decorating Show last week, Jen was able to look back on that situation and laugh, even if the whole event has sinister undertones. Todd Von Joel, co-host of The Painting & Decorating Show said at the time, “All jokes aside, imagine that it was somebody you care about. That is so out of order! I think that guy can consider himself very lucky that he is not in more trouble.” Jen said: “He classed himself as a naturist, but I know for a fact that a naturist wouldn’t act that way. It is funny to talk about it now, but at the time you were kind of a bit scared. It was the fact he spent all this time telling me he was a naturist, but he locked the door. And locked me because he was like, ‘the sparkie is due to pick up some money.’” Stranger still, the same guy messaged this year asking if she was available to do some work. “I have literally just blocked it,” said Jen. To be clear, this type of behaviour is completely unacceptable. To listen to the audio clip click below.
