A tradesman took revenge on a customer who underpaid him by almost £4,000 by ripping his work off the roof and filming it, the Daily Star has reported. Simon McPherson, from Melbourne, Australia, claims he's still owed around $6,700 AUS (£3,870) by builder Adrian Padoin for tiling a roof of a property in Hadfield in May 2022. So, he thought his work should be undone if he wasn't going to be paid in full for the job he completed and decided to tear it apart. In a video he recorded himself, he was seen tearing tiles off the roof he'd built and throwing them on the ground. McPherson also captured the confrontation between himself and the builder as he declared this was a consequence if "you don't pay your bill." Padoin was seen arriving with a sledgehammer and tells the tiler to "come down or I'll smash your head you c***." "I don't care mate, clearly I don't care, I'm throwing them in the bin," he shouted, also telling him to "shut up" as he continued throwing the tiles away. The two men were later seen having a fight and the police were called to the scene. Both men left the scene without being charged. McPherson claims he had previously warned Padoin he would remove the tiles if he didn't get paid. Padoin claims the tiler received a deposit for his work and would have been paid the full agreed-upon amount in the near future.
