Simon Bowler carpenter and social media influencer joins Robin Clevett in the studios to chat about some of his projects, his design process, favourite tools, clients and difference between quotes and estimates. "A project I'm proud of is an L-shaped oak frame garage I created - it's something I'm still quite chuffed about as I haven't yet anything bigger. It was two triple garages in an L configuration comprising over 150 sqm and it took two of us three months to build. It pickled my little pea-brain," he reveals. While garages are usually used to park cars, Bowler's creation housed a gym, a man cave for toys as well as parking for cars. Being a complex architectural project, Bowler designed the visuals of the garage having met with the clients and understanding what exactly they wish for. A structural engineer then approved the design. Listen to the podcast here.
