In a remarkable tale of survival, 63-year-old Michael Foley owes his life to the swift response of bystander Keenan Knight, a 49-year-old plumber from Sheffield, BNN reported. On a routine train journey from London King’s Cross to Peterborough, Foley suffered a life-threatening heart attack. Recognising the severity of the situation, Knight leapt into action, performing CPR in an attempt to sustain Foley’s life. The train, filled with passengers oblivious to the unfolding drama, was a ticking time bomb. Foley’s life hung in the balance. Knight’s quick thinking and action were instrumental in preserving Foley’s life until paramedics arrived and deployed a defibrillator at the King’s Cross platform. Foley was then rushed to St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, where he spent two arduous weeks before being discharged. In a heartwarming reunion, Foley and Knight met at a pub in Newark, Nottinghamshire, to celebrate Foley’s recovery. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and deep gratitude. Foley, expressing his heartfelt thanks to Knight, stated that a simple ‘thank you’ was insufficient for the life-saving intervention. The two shared a meal, with Foley insisting on paying and Knight humorously choosing the largest steak on the menu.
