Decorative plasterwork expert with nearly five decades of experience in the trade, Keith Langton has worked on some fantastic buildings. Chris Frediani and Bradleigh 'Bradders' Hancock hear about his more memorable jobs.
"I was a site supervisor at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, so I had done an area that used to be the private art collection for the Royal family but was never open to the public.
I was able to take my wife to see the gallery and when we were standing in the queue, I began explaining the rooms and structure to her. When we got to the ticket counter, I was called aside to talk to the Secret Service who listened to my entire conversation.
"They offered us a private viewing. I was so chuffed as my wife was there and I could show her the ceiling that I'd done," Keith says with much glee.
Across his career, Keith has worked on many palaces globally including those of The Sultan of Brunei and the Prime Minister of Qatar. His skills have taken him to China, Japan, the US, and Lebanon.
Keith also touched upon materials, the future of the trade, and lime putty.
