Izzy The Bricky is joined by YouTuber Charlie Collison and James Roden to discuss the best season for bricklayers in the UK, which comes with its challenges. Summers mean a lot of work, says Charlie. "In the previous years, I would work longer hours and earn much more than the rest of the year. I don't work as much because I have other income sources, such as YouTube." Charlie explains that bricklayers face challenges in summer, including working with dry muck and getting sunburnt. He prefers wearing long sleeves and trousers to avoid exposure to the sun. "Summer is the best time of the year for bricklayers," James informs. "We just crack on, get jobs done, and bricks down. It's the best season." In summer, James and his team work longer hours—8 to 5—while in winter, they work on an 8-4 schedule. He particularly enjoys summer work because the sun doesn't burn his skin much.
