The world number five darts player, Jonny ‘the ferret’ Clayton, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Fix Radio, the Builders Station. Under the terms of the deal, which will run until early next year, Fix Radio will brand Clayton’s match and media shirts. Jonny will also act as a Fix Radio ambassador until January. Various competitions will allow listeners to win signed Jonny Clayton merchandise and tickets. "As a former plasterer, having a radio station dedicated to tradespeople is unique, and I'm pleased to be working alongside them,” said Jonny. "Finding relatable sponsorship partners is important to me, and I'll be proud to wear the Fix Radio logo on my shirt going forward,” he added. Fix Radio has been investing in sports sponsorship for the last four years. Most recently, it signed a deal with Rugby League to advertise on the LED perimeter banners across several clubs. “Fix Radio has an audience of over 628,000 tradespeople, tuning in every week, and a large part of our audience is passionate about sport,” said Rob O’Connell, chief operating officer (COO), Fix Radio. “We’re really pleased to be able to do a deal with Jonny, who is not only a world-class darts player, but someone who has really strong ties to the trades,” he added.
