Host Chris Frediani and co-host Bradleigh Hancock (aka Bradders) catch up with tradespeople and volunteers in the last week of the build at Treetops Hospice in Derby. Gabrielle Blackman, the lead designer on DIY SOS says the project has been "amazing". "It's a new build. It's just all gone like clockwork, incredibly smoothly, masses of trades have turned up, and the weather has been lovely." She adds that meeting volunteers on the build has been the most enjoyable aspect of the project. "Seeing the skill and talent that it takes to put up a new build in such a short time is amazing." Nick Knowles, host of DIY SOS, notes that the build has brought so many different trades together, which helps tradespeople build their contacts in the industry. "The best thing about this job is - you work for and with amazing people. You make so many friends and contacts. And at the end of the day, these buildings are going to stay here for years looking after people," he concludes. Listen to the whole show here.
