A total of £6,570 has been presented to Band of Builders, to help it provide practical assistance and support to tradespeople and their families facing challenging circumstances, Builders' Merchants News reported. Band of Builders, which provides practical assistance and support to tradespeople and their families facing challenging circumstances, is this year's lucky recipient. Despite tough economic conditions faced by businesses, selfless employees meant that the total for 2023 beat last year's donation by £242.76. Gavin Crane, chief executive officer at Band of Builders, said: "I wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to the entire BMN team for choosing us as your charity partner for the recent Builders Merchants Awards. It is with great pleasure that I extend our appreciation for your support in raising an incredible £6,570 to further our mission. "We are truly humbled by everyone's generosity and the efforts put forth by everyone involved in making the fundraising a success. My thanks also for playing our charity video this year. "We look forward to collaborating with you again in the future and continuing our mission to make a positive impact within the construction community." All donations at next year's Builders' Merchants Awards at Park Plaza, Westminster, on Friday 29 November will go to the Lightside Construction Industry Charity.
