The Funding The Future of Installation, which will officially launch at Installer later this month, will provide sponsorships for 50 kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installation businesses to join BIKBBI. The trade body’s CEO, Damian Walters claimed the programme would strengthen the community of compliant KBB installers. --- And finally, an apprentice bricky is encouraging other women to get involved in the trade. Ellie Warboys, a 16-year-old currently working on her Level 1 NVQ in Bricklaying at Moulton College, told the BBC that initially being one of the only women in her class was hard, but in a few weeks realised “there was no gender divide”. Warboys hoped other women would join the trade and encouraged others to take the plunge and “just go for it”. --- To listen to the construction news please click below
