AUDIO NEWS: Mental health questions added to CITB manager test and crooks get jailed

Posted: Friday, June 16th, 2023

Mental health questions have been added to the CITB’s health, safety & environment manager’s test.

Anybody taking the Managers and Professional Test after the 27th June must ensure they are using the new revision materials.

The training body said it was “moving with the times” following a consultation process that started with a survey at the end of 2021.

The consultation process has led to five other subjects being added to the exam, including leadership and new technologies.

Two men who kidnapped and robbed employees from a London-based construction firm have been jailed.

In June 2021, the two workers were lured to a remote location by Norman Hitchings.

At the site they were met by Christopher Griffiths and two other unnamed accomplices.

The employees were then forced to the ground, cable tied and threatened with knives until they transferred £77,000 grand to another account.

Griffiths and Hitchings were both sentenced to 10 years each, at Peterborough Crown Court.

Angela Main was one of nine winners to share the £1 million pound jackpot.

While Angela hasn’t ruled out helping her husband Gordon, she told The Daily Record her priorities were a holiday, and helping their kids.
