Host of The Heating & Plumbing Show, Andy Cam swapped his seat in the Fix Radio studios for a walk at the NEC Birmingham to spill details of the largest heating, plumbing, and cooling expo. "It's a massive show with over 450 exhibitors," he shares as he comes across several known faces and names in the industry. At the exhibition, he bumped into Jonathan Kane, CEO of Kane International - a flue gas and engine exhaust analyser specialist. Kane is showcasing an HVO-friendly analyser - called the Kane 460. According to Jonathan, it is the "world's first heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration analyser". He adds: "It's all in one and it's doing it wirelessly. No other equipment is required and there's no risk of leaks." Jonathan believes that time is money and being at the show is a "very productive use of time to come and see who walks the talk and who doesn’t". He also said that it's important for customers to look around and decide for themselves. Anthony Haynes, Regional Sales Manager for Rothenberger UK tells Andy that the show has been "absolutely hectic but good" as "everybody is running around". Andy also ran into PB Plumber and Rob Lawton from Lawton Tubes. "We're doing the bending challenge - traditional pipe bending. We're also demonstrating how good copper is and how quickly you can fit it with the automatic pipe bender," Rob says. Andy concludes his tour at the expo by saying: "I think it's important to visit these shows and have a good look around and see all the new equipment and technology produced by some brilliant people. "There are lots of people here. It's been fantastic so far and the merchandise has been great. Get yourself down here, it's splendid."
