On today's Electrical Show, Thomas Nagy, Paul Meenan and Danny Webb look at trade associations within the industry and whether they offer effective support for contractors. Paul reveals that he'd like four issues sorted out by trade associations such as the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC), Electrical Contactors' Association (ECA), NAPIT and others. "We would like to see them advocate for our rights," Paul says. Thomas agrees: "That's fair. They should be batting on our side." "Secondly, we'd like them to protect and uphold standards," Thomas notes. "Thirdly, they should tackle industry issues. Lastly, they need to communicate better with members, each other, and the wider construction industry.” Listen to the podcast here.
