Strange discoveries on the job are a part of life in this industry. However, what no one wants to see is an animal trapped somewhere they shouldn't be, among the chaos of a work site. That’s why, when news came out of a heroic feline rescue, the heartfelt story went viral. 

What no one expected was for the kitten to become the hero of this fable and shortly pick up work in the trade. Here’s everything you need to know about the construction cat, Sue!

The Daring Rescue

It was River Reach Construction that initially reported the incident on one of their sites. Uploading a post to Instagram, the team revealed that they had found a small kitten stuck in their Komatsu. So, they began a rescue mission to remove the base of the digger and release the potential pet. 

While the mission had been a success, it was clear that no one was coming forward to claim the kitten. So, after nicknaming her Sue, after Komatsu, the River Reach Construction crew decided she should join the team. 

The Viral Sensation

In the coming weeks, Sue’s contributions to the squad would go viral. With River Reach providing constant updates on the cat’s progress, they would eventually recruit her, even gifting her a tiny hard hat and high-vis jacket. 

While Sue’s reckless attitude has shown how she got stuck in the Komatsu in the first place, she has become a staple of the team and can often be found in River Reach’s HQ! 

While the story might have a happy ending, the only question that remains is: how soon will Sue be behind the wheel herself?
