Nearly seven out of 10 construction firms fear severe fallout from the conflict in the Middle East, claims research from Pick Everard.
Firms polled by the consultancy said they expected major consequences for the cost and availability of materials.
More than half of businesses also indicated that the conflict had already affected their immediate delivery plans.
Pick Everard’s operations director, Gavin Mason, warned that the shockwaves from the Iran war were likely to be felt for some time.

An electrician has completed one of the rarest feats in cricket by taking six wickets in six balls.
Fast bowler Myles Davis completed the double hat-trick playing for Penkridge against Pelsall in the South Staffordshire County League.
Davis, who only made the game after a colleague covered for him at work, is the first adult in the UK to complete the feat.
