In what could easily be called ‘The Most Australian Photo Of All Time”, a tradesman has gone viral after an image captured the moment he was wearing his hi-vis while riding on the back of an enormous crocodile - somewhere in the outback we presume. I don’t know about you but if I saw a crocodile coming towards my little boat down a river in the Australian outback the last thing I’d be thinking would be ‘let’s tie its mouth up and try ride this thing like a surfboard!’. No chance. Taking every safety precaution necessary like using a small bit of rope to keep the crocs mouth shut and of course going barefoot - because who wears shoes in Australia? - the tradesman has 2 feet firmly planted on the back of the crocodile in a surfing-like stance. Embed not found Unsurprisingly, there has been a fair amount of backlash online from both animal activists as well as people who doubt the authenticity of the shot - believing that it could very well be photoshopped or staged. From our eyes, the shadow cast behind the guy certainly make this image look real, but it’s impossible to say for sure. Users on Reddit have had a field day coming up with some world class one liners trying to sum up the image, with another Australian saying 'This is how I travel to work in the morning’. Another added, 'You know for sure that the last thing he said was "Hold my beer’’. 'Glad he was wearing hi-vis... you know for safety,' another wrote. Perhaps succumbing to the mounting criticism, the Reddit user who originally posted it has removed the image from the thread altogether. What do you think - Real or staged? (H/T Perth Now)
