
Britain’s exit from the EU remains a hot topic of discussion in the construction industry, even just over a year since the official exit. With staff shortages such an issue as well as rising material prices among other ongoing issues – it’s speculated that the cause may well have been Britain’s exit coupled with the Coronavirus pandemic. Clive Holland naturally took this on, on Tuesday’s edition of the Clive Holland Show – as he asked just how much of an impact Brexit has had on us all in the trades. He was joined by Brian Berry from the Federation of Master Builders who spoke about the causes and problems with it – but interestingly called for the UK to produce it’s own building materials and not rely on those imported from abroad – and why that is.
