
A build up of tension on a London site spilled over into a brawl last week, with construction workers filmed using tools and other materials as weapons before being separated. The incident occurred on a McAleer & Rushe site and is believed to involve individuals working for concrete firm JB Structures. Terrifying scenes played out in footage obtained by The Construction Enquirer, with up to 15 workers involved in the altercation before the two main instigators could be separated. It’s not yet clear what sparked the fight and led to the confrontation but a full investigation has been launched by McAleer & Rushe. As reported by the Construction Enquirer, a statement read “McAleer & Rushe do not condone such acts of behaviour on any of our sites and following investigation and subsequent disciplinary procedures, both men were summarily dismissed from site”.
