Fix Radio has wrapped up a string of motorsport sponsorship deals as it continues to build a national brand. The Builders Station has signed a deal with Bobby Thompson, driver for Team Hard Racing competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Bobby and his manager, (and father) Paul Thompson reached out to Fix Radio earlier this year after listening to the radio station working onsite. Paul, a lifelong plumber has supported Bobby’s career, while also running his own business during the week. "I've personally followed the British Touring Car Championship since the late 90s and it’s still delivering some of the best wheel-to-wheel motorsport in the world,” said Tom Burns, Head of Marketing, Fix Radio. “We’ve been inspired by the conversations with Bobby and his father Paul, who has been a huge factor in his son’s motorsport career. Paul has supported his son’s career alongside running a successful plumbing business. The close relationship between the trades and motorsport makes this sponsorship deal a great fit,” he added. Fix Radio will be covering race weekends and offering tickets to see Team Hard in action. For more info on forthcoming races please click here. Fix Radio has also signed a sponsorship deal with the fastest plumber on two wheels – Lee Jackson – for the remainder of this year’s British Superbike Championship Lee who works as a plumber during the week, and races some of the UK’s quickest tracks at the weekend was an obvious choice for Fix Radio sponsorship. "His raw speed and success on the track, while managing a full time job as a plumber was something we had to be a part of," said Burns. “Fix Radio is very proud to part of Lee's team as he pushes to complete what has already been a strong season for himself and his team Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Kawasaki,” he added. ‘When I saw Fix Radio wanted to become a partner, I was super excited,” said Lee Jackson. “It’s cool for me to put on the radio and have a full-on trade radio station going in the background, while advertising them on the weekend racing in the British Superbikes. I really appreciate their support and joining my career,” he added. To find more details on Lee’s outstanding races, please click here. Lastly, Fix Radio has signed a sponsorship deal with rising go-karting star Frankie Taylor of GJR Race Team. In his early career Frankie has been supported by his dad, Jon Taylor, an electrical division manager with City Plumbing Colindale and long-time Fix Radio listener.
