Danny Madden is joined by a general builder, Noel Bardall to understand the roofing he completes, the materials he works with and the roofing he observes in his local area, while Simon Bowler, discusses his work in gardens that see him offer some complete amazing feats of design and engineering. Solihull-based Noel is a builder who is engaged in domestic property work, home extensions, and loft conversions. In terms of roofs, he does roof timbers, roofline, tiling, putting in roof windows, and lanterns. "We cover all of it, including led work until it's watertight." Simon creates bespoke oak frame garden gazebos as well as other garden architectural projects and roofs including laying shingles, composite slates, and led work. He also informs which tools he uses to complete the structural aspects of his work. "I use Milwaukee gear which includes a 305mil chop saw, a nail gun, and a handheld circular saw." His particular favourite is a first-fix nail gun. Listen to the podcast here.
