Bellway to invest more than £2.5 million in Mid Devon services

Homebuilder Bellway is delivering hundreds of properties across Mid Devon, specifically Fox Mill Gardens in Willand, Libbets Grange near Crediton, and Empress Gardens in Tiverton.

The planning agreements for these proposals include commitments to support the local area with funding.

The developer is constructing 125 new residences at Fox Mill Gardens in Willand, where the first properties have recently been released for sale.

Here, Bellway is said to contribute more than £532,000 towards infrastructure and services including £250,000 for Willand School.

An additional £125,000 has been set aside for off-site open space along with £100,000 for public transport, and £52,500 for community healthcare.

The largest sums set to be paid out relate to Bellway’s Libbets Grange where it is building 257 homes.

The first properties are due to go on sale in spring 2024, here it is providing land for a primary school and Crediton Rugby Club.

This project is said to incur Bellway with more than £2 million in payments, including £856,663 for primary education and £675,000 for public transport.

As well as £250,000 for rights of way, £93,291 for healthcare, £77,100 for sustainable travel, £64,250 for early years education and £35,391 for special needs.

Additionally, Bellway is making further investments regarding the 41 new homes being built at Empress Gardens in Tiverton,

These homes are set to launch this summer and where £23,000 will be paid towards the provision of affordable housing within the area.
