Robin Clevetts chats with Andrew Walker, Simon Orrells, and Jack Aluetta to understand worksite coordination and how to build successfully. Andrew says that managing logistics and coordination on jobs is a "constant battle". He adds: "You have to iron out problems as you keep going." Managing director of Frame Technologies, Simon shares his insight on logistics and coordination that go into structural and larger-scale works. "As a manufacturer of timber frame homes, all the work is done off-site in a factory-controlled environment. Our job requires a lot of preplanning and freezing designs." For housebuilder Jack, planning ensures seamless on site construction. "It starts from the tendering stage. The next stage is coordination. Coordinating employees is the easy part, getting subbies to cooperate is the hard part. Communication is key on large projects as well as in managing people." Listen to the podcast here
