How Many Construction Roles Has Jason Statham Taken On?

Statham’s latest flick heads to streaming and has us thinking about all his tradie roles.

Jason Statham’s Mutiny is the latest action blockbuster in the actor’s long and varied career. In it, he plays Cole Reed, a former soldier turned private bodyguard. It’s a role that very much sits comfortably in Statham’s wheelhouse, with the actor often playing the part of a retired military man. 

More often than not, Statham’s characters ultimately end up in some kind of physical role. While he might have played a beekeeper and a racer and everything in between, he is also no stranger to the world of construction. These are some of the movies where he starred as a labourer of some kind. 

Construction Worker - A Working Man 

In 2025, Statham starred in A Working Man, where he played Levon Cade, a fighter with a decorated military career. Cade had since retired from the field and decided to follow a less dangerous path, working on a construction site. He’s only pulled back into the world he left behind when his boss’ daughter is kidnapped. 

Farmer - In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

While he wasn’t working on site, Statham was still putting in the hard graft as a farmer in 2007’s In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. Throughout, Statham leads a relatively quiet and unassuming life before a monster attack sends him on a quest for vengeance. 

Steelworker - Death Race

2008’s Death Race sees Statham’s Jensen Ames framed for a murder he didn’t commit. So, he has to compete in a deadly televised car race to secure his freedom. It’s high stakes, but all of this started because Ames was made redundant from his job as a steelworker and manual labourer. 

Mechanic - The Bank Job 

While Statham wasn’t on a site in 2008’s The Bank Job, he’d likely have no problem fixing any construction gear as Terry Leather, a car salesman and mechanic. Except, of course, Leather ends up ditching the job for a life in crime, only to be pulled into a world he doesn’t belong in.
