CITB launches Training Provider Network to transform training delivery

The network of training providers will transform how construction training is delivered across Great Britain through genuine collaboration, dedicated support, and employer-led insights

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has launched its Training Provider Network (TPN), a single network of approved, quality-assured training providers across England, Scotland, and Wales.

To become members, training providers must deliver training relevant to employers in the construction industry and meet quality assurance criteria specific to the type of training they provide.

TPN members will be able to connect directly with employers through initiatives like Employer Networks, supporting business growth.

They will also build stronger relationships with employers, creating better work placements and employment opportunities for new entrants. TPN members will receive direct support from a team of dedicated relationship managers.

The British construction industry will recognise members of the TPN as training providers who deliver quality-assured training.

The TPN is supported by a Leadership Group comprising representatives from diverse training providers.

The new initiative will enable CITB and its employers to take a more integrated approach, work closely with training providers, and improve the accessibility and quality of training.

By bringing training providers, employers and CITB together at national and local levels, the TPN will be able to:

  • Forecast training needs with greater accuracy
  • Plan provision strategically
  • Deliver training that truly meets employers' requirements
  • Support both business sustainability and growth for providers.
