AUDIO NEWS: Tradesman tracks down his stolen tools and builder denies he's Banksy

Tradesman finds his stolen tools on Facebook, Beard Construction gives half of its profit to local communities and builder denies he is Banksy

A tradesman, who had £3,000 worth of tools stolen from a job site, has helped police recover his equipment.

On the same day as the theft, the anonymous builder discovered his tools for sale on Facebook.

After alerting the police he then posed as a potential buyer looking to purchase the tools and visited the given address.

When officers arrived, they discovered the missing kit.

The defendant, Craig Dudley later admitted handling stolen goods.

Beard Construction has decided to give half of its profits away to community organisations across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Swindon.

The family-owned firm will donate £4.5 million after a record year, where turnover surged by 16%.

In 2025 Beard completed 62 projects from its offices around the country.

It also announced that around 11% of its workforce consisted of apprentices and trainees.

A north London builder has furiously denied he is the world-famous street artist Banksy.

Rumours started circulating that George Georgiou might be the allusive artist in 2024, when he was photographed installing a Perspex shield around a Banksy mural in the capital.

Despite explaining his son owned the building the theories have persisted.

Georgiou called the continuing fuss “annoying”.
