Select has issued a fresh warning about rogue training providers and short courses that promise a fast track into the electrical industry.
The trade body urged anyone looking to enter the industry — including adults looking to retrain — to follow an approved route.
A spokesperson said it simply wasn’t possible to replicate in weeks the technical knowledge, practical ability and workplace experience developed through a proper apprenticeship.
