Over 50% of UK plumbers increase prices, HBF warns that housing pipeline in London is about to collapse, and Travis Perkins and Tarmac Blue Circle host Big Brew events
Over half of UK plumbers have increased their prices in the last year – that’s according to a survey from Wavin.
Over 60% of plumbers that responded to the poll, highlighted the ongoing impact of rising costs on their business.
Despite this, 48% of plumbers admitted to absorbing additional costs to win work, rather than charging the client more.
Partially because of high costs, nearly half of survey respondents also said they were focusing on higher value work.
Dan Scott, VP of Northern Europe at Wavin said the research indicated that the cost of living crisis was still having a huge impact on the trade.

The Mind the Gap report published last week claimed every key indicator of housing delivery in the capital was heading in the wrong direction.
It warned that red tape, safety regulator delays and affordability issues were choking housing supply.
