Over half of construction professionals are looking to switch jobs over pay and working hours.
A survey by Hayes found that three quarters of respondents worked beyond their contracted hours, and 39% were dissatisfied with their salary.
Many were also unhappy with their work/life balance. Over 50% even said they would take a pay cut to achieve a better equilibrium.
The data suggested a significant shift in employee attitudes, as flexibility, progression, and wellbeing all emerged as key factors in career decisions.
