Fit-out costs in the capital reach over £4,300 per square metre, a plumber helps pensioner who was ripped off for £7,000 and Tradies FC sets up a charity football match
London has been crowned the second-most expensive office fit-out market in the world.
The report from Turner & Townsend ranked the UK capital only behind New York, despite costs easing slightly in the last year.
High spec fit-out in London now costs over £4,300 per square metre.
The market continues to be driven by strong demand for ‘grade A’ office space, as firms try to tempt staff back from remote working and compete for talent.

A plumber based in Croydon came to the rescue of a pensioner after a rogue trader had conned her out of £7,000.
Carl Wilson, who runs Jobsa Gooden, was able to fix the issue relatively quickly.
The 43-year-old heating engineer told his local paper that helping the vulnerable pensioner “was the best feeling”.
