Landscapers are among the most stressed trade, a plumber wins the Gorton and Denton by-election, and work starts on geothermal heat network
Landscapers are among the most stressed out in the building trades — that’s according to a report from Trade Direct Insurance.
Over 40% of landscapers said they were experiencing high levels of stress.
The rising cost of materials and workloads were the two issues causing the most concern among landscapers and gardeners.
In the survey, one in five tradespeople admitted their job directly caused mental health problems.
Patricia Gardiner, sales and marketing director at Trade Direct Insurance said it was worrying “how normalised this pressure has become.”

Hannah Spencer has become the Green Party’s fifth MP beating the incumbent the Labour Party.
A lifelong Greater Mancunian, Spencer left school at 16 before training as a plumber and then setting up her own business in 2015.
Now she’s won the election, Spencer plans to quit her plumbing business to focus on the MP role.
