Branded vans are a bigger target for thieves — that’s according to a report from Tempcover.
In the survey of over 500 van owners, 54% of those who have experienced theft, attempted theft or vandalism claimed the incident was linked to their vehicle’s branding.
Despite the risk of having a branded van, nearly half of respondents said it helped boost local awareness and attracted new business.
A further 28% said that a branded van was important to stand out from local competition, while 4% admitted they used branding to cover up signs of wear and tear on an older vehicle.

Growing job dissatisfaction and a fear of AI is pushing more people to consider switching careers to the building trades, claims a report from Mybuilder.com.
In the survey of 2,000 people, 21% said they had considered retraining as a plumber, electrician or other skilled trades.
But whether those looking to switch careers would stay in the UK is another matter.
Two thirds of respondents said they were aware of a global shortage of skilled tradespeople, and 39% added they would work in either Australia or Canada.

Nick Taylor Plumbing is asking local residents to nominate those who deserve a free bathroom.
Taylor told his local newspaper that “it’s our way of giving back”.
