About Fix Radio

Fix Radio is the UK’s only national radio station dedicated to tradespeople, reaching over 1 in 4 of the UK’s 3 million builders, plumbers, electricians, and decorators every week. With unrivalled cut-through on site and in the van, Fix Radio delivers music, banter, and trusted trade content for the UK construction industry.

This deep engagement makes Fix Radio an unrivalled platform for brands looking to connect with the trade. Available on DAB, app, and online, Fix Radio combines scale and authenticity to help advertisers reach and influence Britain’s skilled workforce.

About the Role

In 2025, Fix Radio achieved record-breaking social media growth and engagement. We want to continue that level of success in 2026; therefore, we’re looking for a creative, fast-thinking and highly motivated Social Media Producer to join our Digital Content team. Reporting into the Head of Digital Content, you will play a key role in growing the station’s digital presence by creating topical, entertaining and highly engaging social media content.

This role focuses primarily on our entertainment shows, with comedy, personality and shareability at its core. While construction knowledge isn’t required, you’ll need to bring energy, curiosity and a willingness to immerse yourself in our audience and the culture of the station. On occasion, you may also work across some of our trade-specific shows, with full training provided.

A major focus of this role will be The Bald Builders Breakfast Show and The Clive Holland Show; two of Fix Radio’s flagship programmes. You will become the lead voice for social content surrounding these shows, responsible for shaping their digital presence and bringing their personalities to life across platforms.

Within our Digital Team, we encourage creativity, freedom and bold ideas. There’s no strict rulebook, we want someone who brings fresh thinking every day and is excited about producing content that stands out in a busy digital landscape. If you love entertainment, thrive in a fast-moving radio environment and want to help shape the social voice of some of Fix Radio’s biggest shows, we want to hear from you.

Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Participate in regular team brainstorms to develop creative, topical and audience-first content ideas.
  • Source, cut and edit social media clips for The Bald Builders Breakfast Show, The Clive Holland Show, Daryl Robinson’s Saturday Shift and other entertainment-led programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Content and Creative Solutions teams to identify opportunities where video can unlock editorial and branded revenue.
  • When relevant, work with internal teams, including News, to produce social content tied to current events and breaking stories.
  • Create memes, moment-based content and source UGC from our community.
  • Work alongside the Fix Radio Street Team to maximise content opportunities from their promo tours.
  • Think outside the box by developing innovative content ideas with presenters outside of live shows (e.g, behind-the-scenes videos, challenges, trends, personality-led ideas).
  • When required, schedule and publish content via our social media management systems.
  • When required, shoot vox pops and event content using mobile/lo-fi equipment.
  • When required, work across event content, such as Fix Radio’s sister music festival, FixFest.

You’ll have

  • Strong communication skills, creativity, and excellent time management.
  • Quick-thinking, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a positive attitude towards problem-solving and working with on-air talent.
  • Ability to edit high-quality video content efficiently, with intuitive understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and Photoshop (or similar editing software).
  • Experience with Camera One (or equivalent auto-switching capture software) is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in audio-visual production and/or social video production for radio is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of how to visualise radio content and use video to build social reach, engagement and listenership.
  • Ability to shoot external content using mobile devices.
  • Experience in social media publishing is desirable.
  • Ability to work from our London Vox Studios when required, to collaborate with producers, programmers and presenters.

What we are offering
