The Federation of Master Builders is calling for licensing to be introduced for tradespeople, aiming to raise standards and protect both customers and skilled workers. But is this a much-needed step to weed out rogue traders, or just another layer of red tape for businesses already under pressure? Today, we’re asking—would a licensing system improve the industry, or would it make life harder for legitimate tradespeople?
