April is Stress Awareness Month, and in the construction industry, mental health is a conversation many still struggle to have. In fact, 70% of builders say they’ve suspected a colleague was seriously depressed but found it too difficult to talk about. The stigma runs so deep that 71% admit to giving their employer a different reason—like a physical illness—when taking time off for mental health.
