Unhappy Digger Driver Flips Lorry And Causes £700,000 Of Damage On Site

A disgruntled digger driver at a recycling plant in Buckinghamshire has thrown the mother-of-all tantrums over a reported ‘work-row’ and caused a path of destruction in the process.

Using machinery on site, the suspect, Mark Green, is alleged to have flipped over a 44-ton lorry at the Paynes Metal Recycling Plant last Wednesday, as well as smashing up a Ford Transit van and damaging site offices in a rampage spree that officials believe could cost £700,000.

Incredible images have been released that show the destruction caused by the man though it is still yet to be determined exactly what set off the ‘long-standing’ employee and what made him lash out in such a way - only a 'work-row' has been mentioned.

As reported in the Mail, Mr Green appeared in Reading Magistrates Court last week charged with criminal damage, using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance, and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.

It was also reported that terrified members of staff were trapped inside some of the portable cabins that were being destroyed by Mr Green.

Green, from Denham, Bucks, did not enter any pleas and he was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Reading crown court on May 31.
