It’s pretty standard to face external charges working as a tradesman, whether that be parking charges, petrol costs, additional insurance – it doesn’t come cheap; especially if you live in London. As of Monday 25th October, Transport for London announced they’d be extending the ULEZ congestion charge zone even further out of the Centre – and charge those driving through it £12.50 for the privilege! With material costs sky high and labour hard to get, the last thing as trades we need is extra costs or to have to change our vans – and putting these extra charges on the customer isn’t always easy!
